ROOTKIT FOUND SVC: swcust

Hi All, I have this rootkit found avast popup occur after boot approx 3-4 mins every time. Unfortunately the ROOTKIT INFORMATION box is not displaying all the info, it has tow columns

File Name        | Rootkit nam (note e is missing)
SVC: swcust    | Rootkit: (I can see 1px of the second line)


I can not find a log file for this activity and have run
Kaspersky AVPTool & tdskiller  + combofix with no reports  of any errors.

Searched for *swcust*.dll - no files found

On the popup I have checked Submit file to Avast.

Could this be a false positive?
What other steps could you suggest?

I am not seeing any unusual behavior

virus defs: 120629-2
win7 Pro 64

If I understand you correctly, you got a warning that you had a rootkit.

I can not find a log file for this activity and have run

Did you also update Avast and run a Boot time scan?

Are you still seeing this pop-up even though your machine is acting normally after getting an Avast virus update?
