Just updated on Win 7 and the issue with not using fast checksums in the firewall settings causing a loss of connectivity is fixed. That was really the only issue I had.

I've been using avast for a while. Tried other solutions but always keep coming back. Just a few things that irk me after the update: It changed my settings. Specifically: My updates are set to manual, the auto-sandbox is disabled and I do not want to participate in the avast community. After the update, my updates are set to automatic, the auto-sandbox is enabled and the box to participate in the avast community is checked.

I don't like settings changed without my knowledge or consent. Just a small complaint/observation. Can you all just leave my settings alone after an update or do I have to go through everything just verify the program is setup how I want it, not how someone else thinks it should be?

It usually takes a while to push it to all download servers.

It doesn't change any settings on mine. You can keep a backup of your setting too. Under Settings > Maintenance
