Avast EPS 1438: Unable to add 'ignored addresses' for mail
« on: July 06, 2012, 12:14:44 PM »
One of our employees receives mail through from an external pop server. We previously added the host name of this pop server to the 'ignored addresses' in the 'troubleshooting' - 'mail' section of the settings. After updating Endpoint Protection Suite from v1373 to v1438 (latest as of today according to Avast update) the mail client can no longer connect to the pop server. Telnet to pop port also fails.

When I try to add a host in the 'ignored addresses' field the input turns red and an error message is displayed indicating 'Invalid value! Please enter port numbers or port ranges separated by commas'. Entering a host name in the same field in the 'WEB' sections does work as expected. As a workaround I have now disabled the mail shield.

Can someone confirm this bug and indicate when (in which version) it will be fixed?
