What version and product of Avast are you using?

Have you tried an Avast Repair:
XP Users:
- Go to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > Avast Antivirus.
- Scroll down and choose Repair function in the pop-up window.
- Reboot.

Vista & Win7 Users:
-   Control Panel
-   Programs & Features
-   Uninstall a Program > Select Avast Antivirus
-   Click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair
-   Click Next and follow.
-   Reboot.

what type of scan did you do.....did you change any of the default settings?

what does the scan results say?........
scan errors are not the same as detection, and avast will only take action on infected file(s)

can you attach a screenshot of the scan result?

U can use the search function in this forum and u will find a bundle of these type of scan memory topics :)

you shouldnt worry about the results..do a full scan and i am sure that will not report threats...

well...you are not the first....
so if you search the forum for "memory scan" / "detection in memory" / or any combination of that you should find a million cases in here...and why you dont do that

unless you know something the avast guys dont know....or have some special need, then dont change the scan settings

use default quick/full scan with default settings

maxthon.exe belongs to maxthon browser....
and the apply button is gray bc it is a process....and not a file....so nothing to be moved
