Practically nothing. Only that it works with the registration keys generated in year 2005 (unlike the previous versions).

The update is only 80K and doesn't require a reboot.

Vlk, how come I didn't get program update notification this time ? I had to invoke Program update manually. Both updating options under avast! update (Basic) Settings are checked as always.  ???

Cheers !

Same here, but i think they said that they increased the time avast checks for updates to about a week to decrease the load on the servers, i could be wrong though.

Yes, this is strange.  Avast updated the database only a few minutes ago but the program version remains 549.

I will let is stay to see if it searches for the update.

I believe that Leea is correct.  Avast was considering lengthening the time Avast checks for updates but I do not know if it actually was incorporated into the 549.

Hopefully VLK will advise.

Thanks Vlk... I only noticed after I read that we have a program update... No reboot required...

It didn't ask to reboot here, and how come there was nothing about this update in the announcements board?

It didn't reboot on my XP pro but it didn't update the rev number from 549 either. I had to stop Avast from the On Access Control panel & restart it to get the correct rev number in "About". Not a major drama, just not clean.

BTW..Vlk, the dup "Clean" message problem has disappeared for the moment. It was coming & going all the time. Maybe another Y2K5 prob!!  ???
