It does not have any 3rd party Virus protection..that is...did not pre-load Norton or McAfee etc.
What should or should I not do to the Windows 7 to prepare it to safely and cleanly load Avast Pro?
Should I disable Windows Defender? I read that Windows firewall plays nicely with AVAST so I can leave that turned on. I have no plans to download Internet Security Essentials (or soes that come pre-loaded?)
I am going with AVAST verses Norton or McAfee based upon user reviews. I am looking for a no nonsense protection taht won't create a lot of problems for my laptop. I want to avoid the headache of the laptop cashing or not being able to access the Internet following the installationof AVAST.
