Hi,

Yesterday I was hit by BSOD "0x00000050: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA aswsnx.sys". It has happened just after Avast told, that upgrade was successful (not sure if it was virus definition or program update - I usually close these messages without reading ;-) )
It happened always after laptop reset again and again, usually couple of seconds after logging into my account.

I uninstalled avast in Safe Mode and then laptop works stable. I installed avast again (latest version - 7.0.1456) and after laptop reset I got BSOD again. I uninstalled it again in safe mode, then installed 7.0.1451, then got BSOD after restart again. I uninstalled it again in safe mode, run aswclear.exe then installed 7.0.1426, and now laptop works stable.

Avast: free (avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe)
Version: not sure, because I uninstalled it, but I found in c:\Program Files\avast\setup\history.ini: "version=7.0.1456"
then I installed version 7.0.1456 and got BSOD again
OS: Windows XP SP3 compilation 2600.xpsp_sp3_gdr.120504-1619
Other security related software installed: Windows Firewall

I got some minidumps and analyze them using WinDbg, in most of them there are identical sections:

I could upload somewhere all minidumps and results of WinDbg. I tried to attach them to this post, but forum does not allowed that kind of attachment.

Upload any minidump or memory.dmp files, zipped to reduce size.  Give the zip file you are uploading a unique name (e.g. forumusername-mem-dump.zip, etc), so they can identify it. It might not be a bad idea to create a text file (readme.txt) with any relevant information, avast topic URL, user name, etc. etc. in the zip file. Not to mention posting the name of the file you uploaded in the topic, this acts as another searchable reference.

Upload the zip file to the ftp server ftp://ftp.avast.com/incoming

Then follow the instructions in the post above yours and send to avast's ftp server for analysis.

I uploaded zip archive (file name: czester-minidump-forumtopic101101.zip) but it disappeared immediately. Did you received it?

LOL, I have Lenovo too, model SL500. Maybe some conflict with Lenovo drivers under XP?

You don't have read permissions for the incoming folder, so you won't see it. I don't work for avast, so I won't know if they have received it.
