What to do when a virus is found?

Avast has detected 1 virus and 101 warnings; however I am unable to do anything with the virus.  What am I doing wrong here?

According to the image of a scan result you have moved the infection to the chest. There is no need to take any further action. If you want, you can open a chest page and remove the file completely from there - just not to take a space on the hard drive.
