free6 Popups
« on: January 06, 2005, 07:39:56 AM »
New to this, so bear with me.  Have started to get Free6 popups and can't get rid of them.  Something has changed my login name and password for my internet dial in - don't know if this is related or not.  My log file is attached.  Thanks.Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.0

Hi inky and welcome to the forums
i see you have some trouble on board , it comes in the form of a program called spyware doctor
masquerading as a helper its actually whats giving you all your problems
My advice is to uninstall it and see if problems persist
if you want go here http://hijackthis.de/index.php
and load your log in there and click analyse and then pan down the page
it will show all the suspect entries as red but be careful as it shows telstra big pond as red also and you dont want to delete that .
If you want some good free anti spyware progs look for a post by REJZOR and find the security link on his signature
good luck

Thanks I'll try that, although the problems started before I put spy doctor on there.
