Help!
« on: July 17, 2012, 09:48:38 AM »
I have been using a purchased copy of AVAST successfully for more than 6 months, now the program informs me I am: "Not connected with any AVAST account" and I am left without security.
How can I rectify this?

 Thanks for replying, Asyn

AVAST PRO
VERSION 7 (last updated just a few days ago, so relatively current)
WINDOWS 7, 64 bit
no other security software
DELL Inspiron 1764

This is the first time I have had ANY problems with AVAST since purchasing 2 copies over the past 1.5 yrs (the latest copy being purchased in Feb 2012).

I've tried repairing using the avast repair function, but this failed also.

I will try un-installing the AVAST software from the system & re-installing with a copy of the license.

I will try un-installing the AVAST software from the system & re-installing with a copy of the license.

1. Download avast! Pro Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe
2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions..!!)
3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.
