Avast affecting Outlook 2007 Reply/ Forward Icons
« on: July 19, 2012, 04:44:32 PM »
Outlook 2007
Avast ver 4.8 (managed)

The icons that Outlook tags on to emails indicating that you've replied to or forwarded that message are been affected by Avast (you know those little arrows, green pointing left for replied and purple pointing forward for fowarded).

I've uninstalled avast replied and forwarded messages and the icons get tagged on to those message no problem. Once avast is installed the icons dissappear again.

I initially tried disabling the Outlook add-on but didn't see any associated with avast within the trust centre.

Has anybody experienced this? Is there a fix? Can we expect Avast to rectify the problem?

Any thoughts appreciated

No, avast wont be maintaining the 4.x branche of the software anymore. This has been replaced first by the 6.x branch and right now there is the 7.x branch of the software.

You should upgrade your software (the license you have right now should be valid to be upgraded to the newest product license) since the new software has also a lot of improved and added functionalities
