If by any chance you still have the crash dump file could you please upload to the avast ftp server, i also thought igor mentioned this problem had been solved in a vps update but noticed this yesterday myself again but i accidently deleted the file instead of zipping it
I realize this is over a year old, BUT apparently the problem
still isn't fixed...or it became a NEW (though identical) problem with Internet Explorer 11.
I just
finally upgraded my computer last week from Windows XP and IE8 to Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 11, and that's when it started. I NEVER had a single problem caused by Webrep in IE 8, but now the only way I can find to keep IE 11 from crashing is by disabling the Webrep. Here is just one (of dozens) of error reports of Webrep causing IE 11 to crash:
Faulting application name: iexplore.exe, version: 11.0.9600.16518, time stamp: 0x52f347b2
Faulting module name: aswWebRepIE.dll, version: 9.0.2013.75, time stamp: 0x52d6c48c
Exception code: 0xc0000005

Faulting process id: 0x954
Faulting application start time: 0x01cf3a1f393e4c58
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\aswWebRepIE.dll
Report Id: 789eff78-a612-11e3-b503-b280ff9c5076Avast was
fully updated after the clean-install of Windows 7, and I also need to mention that this problem does NOT exist in FireFox, Google Chrome or Opera Browsers. Of course Microsoft keeps referring me back to Avast for answers, even though I have a feeling that this might be a problem with Internet Explorer (all versions above IE8). Can we maybe get them to admit it after what....4 years now? Or has anyone found a "fix" for this by now? (Preferably a "fix" OTHER THAN using only FireFox, Google Chrome or Opera or disabling or uninstalling the Avast Webrep...which
does eliminate the problem but is not really a good solution since Webrep is actually a nice, helpful feature when it's not crashing the browser.)
