file system shield always seems to have problem with programs I wrote in visual studio, and unless I set exception path for the folders under auto-sandbox, it will always try to terminate my program.

I don't want to set exception for every project I make, but I also don't want to make a giant c:\* exception so I become vulnerable. is there a way to make avast auto recognize all the stuff from visual studio?

You can go to Addition Protection / AutoSandbox / Settings and uncheck "The file prevalence/reputation is low" in the reasons for Autosandboxing. It is very powerful heuristics, but in your case, where you produce your own executables frequently, this is not probably the right one.
