Avast plugin not working with Outlook 2007
« on: July 24, 2012, 09:48:17 PM »
Hi,

I've been receiving a lot of spam while using Outlook at work. When I checked to see if the Avast plugin was enabled, I found out that it was disabled and there is no option to enable it. Avast is updated to the most current version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

This is a known issue. Right now without solution. We need to wait a program update. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have this issue as well and noticed that it started with the last program update.

I am using Outlook 2010 and have the same issue around the AntiSpam plug-in and have had the following message from Avast Technical Support:

Hello,

I am sorry but at this moment we do not plan to create new AntiSpam toolbar for Outlook.

Best regards,

Which would indicate the Avast is not going to support the automatic removal of Spam mail any longer. Looks like I for one (after 4-5 years of happily using the product)  will be looking for a new Internet Antivirus/Firewall, etc. suite!

Hope this helps clear things up for users wondering what is going on!
