Win32:Malware-gen/Win32:Downloader-PKU [trj]
« on: July 27, 2012, 08:18:43 PM »
Well, I just got a new Alienware laptop, and, like an idiot, I decide to go online without any antivirus program. So, after my speedy machine began running like it's from the late 90's, a friend turned me on to Avast! After I downloaded and ran a reboot scan, it found 14 infections and deleted them. Now I'm getting pop ups from Avast! showing that it has blocked Win32:Downloader PKU [trj] and Wind32:Malware-gen. It says it's process is : C:Windows/system32/services.exe. I need help desperately! Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this? I would really like to have a speedy machine again.

Whilst avast is preventing the underlying infection from getting worse it needs to be dealt with.

This needs further analysis by a malware removal specialist:

Notes:
