I uninstalled AMS beta and the 100 per cent problem went then I installed it again and bam 100 per cent use again. It even showed 100 per cent processor use in your widget. Then uninstalled then went back to AMS stable then told you about doing the scan as above. Bit upset you can't find the cause but never mind. I'll be switching back and forth between stable and beta today and writing about what is happening here.

Might it be maybe the huawei skin being incompatible with AMS beta.

Signed in to avast account and I am waiting to see if the CPU use will fix itself.

By the way, how do you check for CPU usage? Using avast! or a 3rd party tool?

Watchdog lite on the play store mainly. Also using the AMS beta widget.

Is AMS optimized for multi core phones? That might be causing it on my single processor (600Mhz) phone.

No, it isn't. Well, could you run some test for me? For example try to reboot your device and see if AMS is still on 100% even if you don't specifically launch it. Then try to launch it and see if any specific action results in the 100% load. Since it works fine on all our devices (and we have a Huawei here), it's kinda hard for me to reproduce and fix the problem.

A Huawei Blaze? After restart 100 per cent. Don't get me wrong AMS does not use 100 per cent but it uses all the free cycles so in effect using the majority of the processing power. I'll do the reset test now.

I unticked scan apps on execution. It now seems to really be behaving itself. Using 11 per cent of CPU which is fine. Why is that option using SO much more when it's ticked then if it is not?

Double checked it, That is the problem. Weird and annoying as I wanted and want to tick the box but at a cost of mad bad and sad battery drain. Not unless the development team can work something out.
