I know it was mentioned in the BETA section directly, but IMHO it has some point. A little redesigned notification may look better in most Android versions. Moreover it is already designed, but is not used as notification. I hope screens will explain, what I have in mind. Starting small poll to know other opinions  :)

Can someone from avast! confirm that this will get fixed before v2 goes live? As funny as it may sound, this is the only reason why i'm not using avast! on my Android phone at the moment...

no, this probably won't get to the v2 release. But it should be in the v2 update 1 at latest.

Whilst I prefer the suggested layout, but in all honesty until people started mentioning this, it hasn't bothered me. I guess I never have worried much about aesthetics over function and I do use the notification area drag down a fair amount.

It looked ok on HTC Wildfire running CyanogenMod 7.2, but it looks horribly out of place on Samsung Galaxy S2 that i have now. And it looks really badly imo. It's a shame it won't make it into initial v2 release though. Aesthetics are what ppl notice first and it's not exactly the best start if a brand new version looks broken in the most noticeable area (the interface).

Looks the same on Thrive tablet. I didn't vote. Second picture is aligned, so looks better. It never bothered me one bit. I never thought it's broken. And if a bunch of things made it into that area, avast stands out, so that's nice in a way.
