Hello. This is no big deal,but I was wondering if anyone knew why every time I log into my. avast.com it says security status off. I have been using Avast since the 1990"s and have the latest AIS. Interface says connected to my account. Thank you. 8)

As you can see in the screenshot of 2 of my systems,
One is marked as OFF and the other is marked Secured.
I'm currently on-line with the one that's marked secure and the other system is off-line (Actually it's turned off)
(Both systems are marked as Unknown because they are both running Windows 8 Release Preview and that's not recognized because it's still beta)

i guess my question is since this computer is online permanently why does it constantly say unsecured while gui says connected to my account :)

You are talking about two entirely different matters.
Connected to your account has nothing to do with being secure.
If your getting the message,
that means that some or all of your shields aren't working.
