Possible False Positive?
« on: August 08, 2012, 01:59:04 AM »
Hi, I am one of the main administrators of combatexpertsclan.com and both myself & several of our users using avast are reporting malware popups on our forums at hxtp://www.forums.combatexpertsclan.com

this is the report they keep getting

"Infection:   HTML:Script-inf"

now I have used several sites to scan the site & they all say it's clean or benign. Do any of you have any advice to give as to whether this isn't a false positive?

EDIT: I forgot to mention that only avast users are getting this, users with other AV programs like comodo, microsoft's AV or Avira get no problem on the site

the website seems to be down ?

the online scanners can not detect anything if the site is down   ;)

True enough, wasn't down when I made the post, strange. Will need to talk to my webmaster then when he gets online, Thanks
