Help!
« on: August 13, 2012, 05:03:23 AM »
Hi There,
I hope someone can help me....please!

I have followed the instructions in the sticky at the start of the worms and viruses thread and have deleted files when they appear infected but I still have not been able to get rid of the virus.
I have attached the logs from all  the scans I have done in different programs.
Thank you so much in advance.
Cheers

Hi Argus,
Thank you so much for looking into this for me.  I have followed your instructions and have attached the two reports.  I had a brief panic when Combofix restarted the computer and none of my icons would work.  I restarted the machine again and it now seems to be working! YAY
I have had no virus notifications in the last five mins so I have my fingers crossed it seems to of worked.  Only problem is the computer is super, super slow.
Thanks Argus, I look forward to your reply.
Cheers
Hildy.

Hi Argus,
Thanks again for your quick reply.  I completed your next step by dragging the notepad file onto combofix and have attached the log.
However, when I went to download the next step (ADW or something by Xplode) it wouldn't open the link.
Cheers

OK, not necessary, the PC is clean.

How's your computer behaving now?

It is necessary to uninstall the ComboFix :
  • Click Start (or ) then Run.

On Windows7 or Vista you may use Start Search field if Run is not available.

  • In the line of text type in (Copy) the following:
Code: [Select]
ComboFix /Uninstall
    Note that there is a space between " ComboFix " and " /Uninstall " .

    • then click OK (or press Enter ).
Wait for the uninstall process is complete.

Run OTL and hit the cleanup button.
