I have one computer with no network.

Dell Vostro 260
Windows 7 Professional 64 bit (lang: polish)
No other AV software - no other security software
Avast 6 Pro installed

After installing update from file system crashed with BSOD  (STOP: 0x0000007B) ....
Last good configuration didnt work as well as  repair options from windows 7 menu

Solution was: restoring registry from backup - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/139576-startup-repair-infinite-loop-recovery.html
EDIT: after restoring only avast didnt work (no service started, gui didnt work)

Next try - new fresh installation from avast webpage Avast 7 pro: usb keyboard didnt work at login screen - no password nor username could be entered - TAB was working (tried two keyboards, different USB ports)

Solution: last good configuration

Workaround: installed Avast 4.8 prof.

Any ideas?

hey is suggest you create a memory dump and send it in to a programmer so he could have a lock at it.

hopefully a programmer will check into this thread and guide you how to proceed.
