Browser sandboxing, which one is working?
« on: August 17, 2012, 06:39:08 AM »
The following is what happens when I try to use browser protection.
Please help, if you have an idea. I would hate to uninstall...(short of that, if possible), thanks.

Chrome =  *(I do check the radio button, to turn "browser protection" on).
  • When on, it makes the padlock symbol in the icon.
    Browser pages change urls, but are all solid gray only, where the webpage would be. (But it did work normally the first day).
    There is an orange-line border.

IE          = *
  • When on, it makes the padlock symbol in the icon.
    Browser pages, only come on after you clear a warning box. that says "invalid charactor" and do you want to run scripts anyway?...and I have to click "yes".
    There is no orange-line border.

Safari    = *
  • Works totally normally. (But is it really sandboxed?)
    It does not make the padlock symbol in the icon.

Firefox  = *

I know that Avast! is enough security, without browser sandboxing...
but I am curious, if there may be an answer...and which one is actually working?
it IS no emergency, (no help is fine too).
