The new setup asks for "recovery phone number", what is that?

I just updated my avast anti theft on my Samsung Galaxy S2. When I now go into the setup I am glad to see my old konfiguration left, but there is a new question under Anti-Theft Basic Settings about a "recovery phone number". I can not find any where what this number is supposed to be used for, so that I can find a sutible one to configure.

Anyone who knows?
