Posted this a few days ago. First response was to uninstall/reinstall the program, including the use of a small app in safe mode that would completely remove the original.
Followed the instuctions to the letter, and for a few days things were fine, but now Avast shuts itself off every few minutes.
I have scanned with Avast, Malwarebytes, and Microsofts Malicious Software Removal Tool, and am satisfied I do not have a virus or malware.
Running Windows 7 Home Premium with an Athlon II X 2 3.0G processor and 4G of RAM. Also running Malwarebytes Pro.
Any help greatly appreciated
