After updating to the latest version of Avast (7.0.1466) on my Windows 7 x64 system (as noted in my sig) I noticed occasional hangs on start-up with my computer. This was not experienced at all on an older version of Avast (6.0.1367) I was using till recently (and I did do a proper clean-uninstall if you're curious).
My computer has a password lock on it and this hang is most notable in the delay it'll take to even display the login information/prompt. The screen will show the default "Welcome" blue background but will take quite a bit of time to display the password prompt every now and then (I'd say every 2/5 system start-ups). I have never noticed this prior to updating to this version of Avast and all my settings in Avast are the same as my previous version. Additionally nothing has changed on my system start-up or configurations besides Avast being updated.
Is there any type of log or additional info I can send to help diagnose this issue?
