windows 8 Warning:
« on: September 07, 2012, 10:37:10 PM »
Friends
longtime user of avast free on windows xp, windows 7, now windows 8 enterprise
After installing AVAST on this desktop, I noted that my network performance went to a crawl. basically unusable.  I am not saying this is due to one of the shields in AVAST, but I went looking for errors after a reboot and I get the error pasted below from the Event log. Apparently the network shield in Avast is failing to load properly??
How can I remedy this?

Replying just to mention I'm on Windows 8 RTM, but have not noticed any effects from Avast onto my network speed.

As for WinXP/Win7, is your event log warning same as the one from your #1 post? Because if you read "Description" section, it says it can't find detailed info (so maybe on WinXP/Win7, there's more info), thanks.
