Not a desktop problem.. but my website domain host is being bombarded with hits from "unknown.sagonet.net".

So far it doesn't appear to be using any bandwidth (no data transfer), but I am getting upward of 200 hits per day.

I assume this is some kind of bot or spyder that at anytime could be reconfigured to use lots of bandwidth or use my host as a proxy for ddos attacks.

Anyone know any more about it please.

Will this help?

Thanks for the reply Technical,

I've checked the links. Wilders don't seem to have resolved it in that thread and it also looks as though they are talking about desktop rather than a hosted domain server. Totalchoice might be onto something with a guestbook harvester although I don't have a guestbook on the domain, so I wonder why the bot doesn't give up!.  Also, I can't figure what they are on about with that bit of code in one of the later posts :-[ I already have sagonet blocked by IP and DNS in my htaccess but that doesn't seem to stop the hits. I guess Hostingdiscussion is just talking about Sagonet in general.

I can't figure out what this bot is even trying to do as it uses not bandwidth. It is worrying in case it suddenly changes.

Thanks anyway Technical.
