Parental control is not the responsibility of an antivirus provider, as Pondus mentioned you can achieve this with opendns plus windows also include's parental control features.

Parental Controls were removed on Windows 7. But you can download Windows Live Family Safety for free. There is also Norton Online Family for free. Most built in Parent Controls are not good. K-9 Web Control is also very good. OpenDNS Parent Filtering is a good choice as mentioned but so is NortonDNS. Norton DNS has 3 different levels.

Hi Aventador,

Parental control should always be accompanied with an open, trustful and caring relationship with juveniles, through which they later have learned to hand these qualities down to their eventual kids. Well at least that is my humble opinion. Online education should start at an early age,

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

Well aware of that. Parental Controls are not just to supervise or spy on your kids. Its so your children cannot mistakenly run into a porn site or what have you. Of course proper education on the does and donts of the internet are a must. I was providing the OP a list of examples which no else else did. Thank.  If your ever looking up "Dicks Sporting Goods" and just decided to type the first word since that what most people call the store then you would know what I mean. I myself use NortonDNS with security & pornography enabled. Its a piece of mind.

I have Windows 7 and it does have Parental Controls.   Control panel, user accounts and family safety.

No those are NOT the same as Vista. Vista had actual parent controls which filtered web content. The only thing Windows 7 can do is make time limits and program control. Windows Live Family Safety does not come presinstalled. It does come prepacked  when you download and install Windows Essentials. Web filtering was removed from Windows 7 after Vista. Vista had full blown parent controls. So you must have installed Windows Essentials, the entire pack.

Sorry, I was mistaken and I do have Windows Essentials, the entire pack.   If you're so concerned about Parental Controls why don't you download Windows Essentials?

I don't need Parental Controls installed. Thats why I use NortonDNS. The OP needs parent controls but either way you look at it Windows 7 does not come with proper parent controls unless you download the Essential Pack.
