Never install multiple antivirus as this will give a slower machine, mysterious windows errors and false positive detections

Another good feature about it is compatibility with other security software. It will work alongside other antiviruses without any problems. It's very light so there should be no problems.
There is one exception however...
Kingsoft Antivirus 2012 is NOT compatible with ANY product that is using VIPRE scan engine (GFI, Ad-aware, UnThreat and others).

Make sure to check this on their forums in the future if they have resolved this issue.

Kingsoft Antivirus 2012 download (Final version):

Decided not to download it.

Just remember where I found this and it was in ReJZoR's Little Secrets.

Best companion to avast!(or any other AV for that matter) is IMHO Malwarebytes Anti-Malware.  ;)

Thank all of you for you recommendations but I don't really like Malwarebytes so I downloaded Spyware Terminator 2012.  Didn't activate/enable the ClamV virus protection though.

if so you must be using an old version since they now use F-PROT antivirus engine.  ;)

It was the newest version but I just now uninstalled it.  Thought it wasn't safe to have any other antivirus programs installed along with Avast.
