Avast Network Shield
« on: October 01, 2012, 02:23:54 AM »
Hi guys, I recently accidentally typo'd youtube.com and went on a malicious site. Good thing, Avast blocked it. Anyways. After the block, I saw on the Real Time Shields section that there were X amount of connections scan / and 1 infected connection. Does that mean the connection with the malicious site is still there? Or did it just scan 1 malicious connection then deleted it after?

No it is historic logging information of X number of sites/urls checked by the network shield one was considered malicious 'and blocked.'

The site was just Blocked, so no infection could  succeed.

why do you quote "and blocked"

Because it relates to your question, "Does that mean the connection with the malicious site is still there?" The connection is blocked and isn't still there.

It is as I said historical reporting of previous connections checked by the network shield.
