cannot insert license key

Hello, I was using the free version of Avast and ended up purchasing the Internet security and Easy Pass.  When I open the Avast screen and go to the maintenance tab, this is what I see.

Status:  In Trial mode          Purchase now expires in 24 days

Subscription information
                                           Insert license file

Activation code
                                            Insert activation code

It does not say register, anywhere on this page.  I have looked all through the tabs to see if I overlooked it; it is nowhere on the Avast panel.  However, when I go to look at my account it says I am paid up until 2013 and have 12 months left until I need to buy it again.   I have been trying for over a week to get this license key inserted, with no luck whatsoever.

I clicked on the link you provided.  The options suggested will not work with my situation.  I do not have anything, anywhere that looks like the pictures that are shown.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled Avast thinking that would solve the problem...it did not.  Please help me because right now my frustration level is out the window with this problem.
