How can I replace the "updated" wav file with another?
« on: October 08, 2012, 02:39:44 AM »
I wish to change the volume of the "updated" sound and I do have a sound editor that can do that.  How can I access that wav sound and then change it? Using Avast 7.0.1466 and Win 7 Home Premium.

I was thinking of trying to do the same thing and found i can adjust the volume for ALL Avast audio sounds.
Take a look at my post in this thread and see if it will work for you.

That would be such a simple fix.  Unfortunately my Volume Mixer does not show anything for AVAST.  I'm looking for a way to be able to substitute one wav file for another in C:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\sounds

You can change the file disabling the avast seft defense module (troubleshooting tab of settings).
But a new program update will overwrite your files.
