Good news guys

I'm 99% sure we've found (and fixed) the problem. There's a beta refresh coming out tomorrow and I'd like to ask everyone experiencing the shutdown crashes to try it.


Luckily, we've been able to catch the event in a debugger - and actually understood what what was causing it. Cool!

This is great!  it just happened to me again and it is ashserv.exe.  No log is produced but it's one of the errors that goes:

"the memory at address xxxx could not be read".

Glad to hear you guys have a handle on it - you're certainly faster than Symantec is. :)

If you don't have the balls to install a beta (there's really not much to worry about though), the relase build is scheduled to be released in about 2 weeks.
