Avast Internet Security and IP

Hello guys,

@ Avast team - I just love (for several reasons!) you and can't help but admit it ALWAYS!

While I searched for the answer, it seems that I don't get a direct answer anywhere.

Anyway, the question is simple: Does Avast Internet Security (more specifically its Firewall) protect my IP? does it make it hard for others (Hackers etc) to spot my adress etc?

Thanks for any reply given and for your time you've spent reading my question!

EDIT: "Firewall: Secures your identity" so, that includes my IP?

I still love it - but isn't it a vulnerability that hackers can see my IP?

i am not sure that a hacker can see your IP or not..... but when you connect somwhere, like this forum
it is like using your phone....we (forum moderators) can see where you are calling frome

Based upon your comment you may want to consider using a Proxy Server if you want your IP address obfuscated.  However, even with a Proxy Server a person needs to take precautionary steps, like making sure the Proxy Server company is honest in order to get the maximum intended benefit from the Proxy Server while using it and not have their privacy or computer's security compromised.
