Two Balls in Icon Tray
« on: January 31, 2005, 03:56:05 AM »
I am trying to explain this in proper terms, so here goes:  There were to rotating balls at the bottom right side of my computer and when I had to reinstall Avast, they are no longer there.  Is this a problem?  Hope you can understand what I mean.

Yes, you missed an startup entry for ashDisp.exe (the 'icons').
Are you using any monitoring application like TeaTimer, Ad-Watch, PrevX...?
You can try to solve this, disabling these applications, going to Control Panel > Add/Remove programs > avast > Change/Remove
And repairing your installation (last option on the pop-up window).

Thank you for the reply.  I disabled the Ad ware and repaired it and still do not have the balls in the icon tray.  I will restart my computer and see what happens.

Thanks again,

Balls are now showing in Icon Tray.  Had to delete Avast and reinstall.  Don't know what happened.
