EasyPass + Google Chrome and Windows 8 Tiles UI

Seems avast! EasyPass plugin does not install itself into Chrome, then it is launched as tile app. Plugin works fine in Chrome launched from desktop.

Same here! I don't understand the idea from microsoft of this effect! If you start chrome or IE from the tile and then you open your webbrowser from the desktop you are not in the same instance - absolutely confusing

The EasyPass plugin is NPAPI.  Chrome an Firefox and maybe IE are discontinuing support for NPAPI's.  I get and error message when I try to install the plugin on Windows 8, although I can still use it on Windows 7.

Here's an article with longer explanations:  http://developer.chrome.com/extensions/npapi.html

P.S.  I sent a report to Avast! support - waiting for a reply.
