line 178: 1666 Bus error

Despite it's dated feeling I'm an avid fan of Avast on linux.  Lately though I've been having some issues with scans not completing properly.  With the GUI it would just die without a message.  I ran command line and got this:
line 178:  1666 Bus error               $AVAST_PREFIX/bin/$programname "$@"

Any thoughts?

Tried it again:

/usr/bin/avast: line 178: 18614 Bus error               $AVAST_PREFIX/bin/$programname "$@"

Hi naviathan,

What Distro are you using ?

Sounds lame, I know, but have you considered Uninstalling Avast!, and Re-Installing.

Sorry can't be more helpful, however this could be your fastest option.
