Avast Access
« on: February 05, 2005, 07:17:52 PM »
I recently updated from V4.1.342 to V4.5. and find that I can no longer access Avast functions from  File, Edit or Tools (I can't remember which one) in a window as with the previous version. Also, right clicking a page no longer presents Avast options as in the past.  Am I missing something in settings that prevents this?  As with the previous version, I'm using XP Home Media. I checked posts and did a search but could find no answer. Thanks

I'm sorry I don't understand what it is you want, which functions? Have you read the avast help file which was also updated?

One of the functions was 'Scan with Avast' or 'perform scan with Avast'. It seems that there were other similar options but I can't remember what they were. Senility is not fun!! Obviously these options are available thru the tray ball but the other options were convenient.

The Right click function of Windows Explorer (see Explorer Extension in avast! help file - help: avast! settings "Common" Page) allows the scanning of an individual file, folder, partition or hard disk.
