I had both the 64 and 32 bits in IE9.  I changed my homepage to myway, customized and it looks a lot prettier now so guess I'll stay with IE10 for now.  Think I'll print the instructions you posted in case I should decide to switch back to IE9.

When you switch back you get back both versions of IE9. The 32 bit version has always been faster because for some reason the JIT compiler for javascript is not fully enhanced in the 64 bit version. Some people are saying that fonts render more clearly in IE10 but I didn't see any difference in that regard.

How can I uninstall it?  It's not on the control panel list.

I followed the instructions from Microsoft, start menu, type in all programs and features, go to windows updates, scroll down to Microsoft Windows, find IE10, right click and uninstall, close all open programs, restart so now I'm waiting for configuring windows which is taking forever.  I'm on my husbands computer right now.

Wish I had seen your instructions before I started this long  procedure.  Will go see what the status is on my computer.
