This is very important to know what programs you have currently installed with an internet connection .I hope that this and other ideas are taken into account by technical support
Thanks for my idea support :)

There is little point, with a version in beta testing feature sets would be closed. The last thing they would want to do during beta testing is add further features other than resolving issues found in the beta testing.

So unless it is very cosmetic, correction of an error or omission, etc. I would say it is unlikely.

I think like David. New features won't be added right now.

only things what are missing to Avast! 8 excellent state ;) :

1. PUP exclusion/global exclusion http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=115569.0
* this would allow use PUP scanning w/o any catch 22 traps

2. replace of WebRep IE10 bar (one icon occupies whole bar, can't be merged with other bars horizontally)
* with same 'button' as AdBlock on STATUS BAR or single button (not bar)

3. scan details covering files read from Persistent Cache + statistics for it too http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=115569.0
* would help extremely to spot where can be Persistent Cache used to improve performance

4. Avast! NoScript (codename NoJava) for Avast! 8 as twin brother to Avast! AdBlocker ;)
* all browsers as usually :) (noScript, NotScripts, ScriptSafe as examples...)

4. ... reserved for anything I find while using Avast! 8 ... :)

0. updating drivers w/o OS restart ... (this would be so awesome that I can't number it)
* everyone dreams about this

Apparently the issue in #2 is due to the inherent way that IE handles things like WebRep and there isn't anything Avast can do about it. This has been brought up before and that was the answer from Avast.

i just discovered that Ghostery got theirs addon updated for IE and guess what they have the icon pretty neat looking next to the home/favorites/settings button icon

so it's doable

Interesting, the implementation of WebRep in IE, which is my default browser, was one of the reasons why I never used it. That and the fact that I don't consider it necessary.

1. WebRep, SiteCorrect and Browser integration should not be in the main settings, best to move it to security > tools.
2. Need the ability to add filters  for multiple languages in AdBlocker

Everything else is perfect! Thx!

I think they are fine just where they are.
Less clutter on the GUI.  :)

5. Avast! shall offer solution similar to LongURL http://longurl.org/api or utilize it , for all browsers ...
these days majority of malware obfuscate themselves behind 'url shortering' and it would quite help if there was automatic solution to this
IMHO it would be possible use webRep for this

Well my wish is simple, after every update new thing are installed in my pc, and I don't like this, I want avast to remember my initial setup without installing new stuff if for ex. I choose to install only shields without the components. I don't want after new component being added to avast free, to automatically install them on my pc.
