Well my wish is simple, after every update new thing are installed in my pc, and I don't like this, I want avast to remember my initial setup without installing new stuff if for ex. I choose to install only shields without the components. I don't want after new component being added to avast free, to automatically install them on my pc.
I can certainly see and appreciate such a feature in the Paid versions of avast. :)

I don't think that's gonna happen.
The thing is that most users want new features - and those wouldn't install them because they wouldn't know about them.
So, new features will be installed - and those few exceptions that don't want them are able to uninstall afterwards.

Ok thanks for bringing light in my wish. So for me I prefer manual update then.

Manual program update is the default setting. :)

Thanks for that, but I was talking about downloading and installing on top of existing version :)

Regards RealNature,
When you see a notice that a program update is available and you select to do the update from that notice,
you are in fact downloading and installing on top of your current version.

Ok but this will lead to install the new stuff added to avast on my pc. And for this reason I submit my wish in the first place.

As already mentioned, your wish isn't going to happen since it precludes getting new features.

What you need to do is a clean custom install so that you can select what to install and what to leave out.

I wish it was allowed to highlight an item, right click and copy the item within the Avast program, especially in the Firewall logs.

Hi Guys, not sure if this has been already suggested or not, but I would like an option to use so that the screensaver scan would continue scanning from its last file rather than start from the start each time it activates? This would ensure that over time my complete computer would be scanned just by using my screensaver when I am idle.

I would also like to suggest a feedback/suggestions point of contact in the actual program! So that I can write a suggestion using Avast and it may automatically send it to you guys for review? Obviously you wouldnt have to reply to each suggestion but it would allow life to be easier for the user and it would save me trawling the internet and having to sign up on a forum etc. to give you some feedback to help your product.

Many thanks,
viperos

As far as I'm aware that is what it does or used to do, but with the introduction of the File access 'Speed up scanning by reading files in the order they are stored on disk' may make it appear that it isn't.

I don't use the screen saver scan as I don't use a screen saver, I see no point of it, I just put the monitor in sleep mode after X minutes.
