False Positive - Claws Mail 3.9.0
« on: November 17, 2012, 09:13:19 PM »
I'd like to report a false positive on Claws Mail 3.9.0 for Windows.  Upon installation of this new version, Avast Free launched it inside its sandbox.

Please note that I attempted to report this via the Avast Contact Us page and the web page reported a 413 error upon submission (Request Entity Too Large), which is an NGINX or  Windows IIS server configuration error -  the particular server hosting it, is broken.

Thank you.

Is this the final version or the wheezy that came out after the bug reports?See: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=693350

Cybersecurity is more of an attitude than anything else. Avast Evangelists.

Use NoScript, a limited user account and a virtual machine and be safe(r)!

This is the Windows version of Claws Mail 3.9.0 (full version number:  3.9.0cvs12-pkg23), it was installed on Windows Vista (32-bit).  The previous version that ran fine where Avast didn't detect anything wrong, was 3.8.1 (full version number:  3.8.1cvs11-pkg14).

Claws was also installed on Windows 7 (64-bit), but Avast did not detect anything wrong with Claws on this OS.
