2000 startup
« on: February 09, 2005, 12:42:45 AM »
I was wondering if someone could help me out with a problem, it concerns the startup command of Windows 2000 Professional.  Does anyone know what word(s) I would enter in the run box to open my startup listing, I want to cut the boot-up time of my p.c. and I suspect that there are a lot of things starting when I turn on my p.c. that shouldn't.  The p.c. I have is a hand me down Compaq Pentium II and it was filthy with spyware as well as infected with a virus and trojan, which I have cleaned up, and made into a totally improved piece of machinery, I removed every suspect file and entry that I was able to access, but I'm still not satisfied and I suspect there are things hiding in that last refuge, the Start-up!!  Can anyone help this bounty hunter find his prey?!! ;D  Any advice will be greatly appreciated!  Thanks!!
