Hello !!
I have had avast! installed on npc for about a month or so.
For the past week when I try to run this program, I get a Windows error as is what is listed in the subject window.
I have completely deleted this program from my pc and re-installed it to no avail. Same error message.
I contacted alwil technical help about 3 days ago and have received no response.
Is there a patch available to combat and fix this problem, or do I have to tweak out the settings.
If anyone can help, please let me know.
My os is Win 98 SE.

What is the windows error you are getting, a screen shot would help or enter the text of the error message.

Have you tried an avast! repair? Add Remove programs, avast! Anti-Virus, Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.

Note, your avatar is a bit on the big side, we try to keep them at 100x100, thanks.

To further inform you, here is the following displayed Windows error message :

This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down.
If the program persists,contact the program vendor.
Any further help would be appreciated.

Any decent image editing/viewing application can do so.

Can you remember what it was you were doing when it happened?

Sometimes these things happen for no apparent reason. Is it happening every time, regularly, intermitantly or this is the first time?
