MAJOR Downloading Problems !!!

HELLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPP !!!!!!!!!  :'( I'm running avast 4.5 on win X P Pro with zone alarm 5.0.590.015 -- my problem is I can't download anything from the net at all ??? -- I think its avast that is Stopping me downloading ---- all that happens is the download box hangs and will not download anything at all -- I'm new to this forum and avast as a system --  and I need some advise as to if I have a settings problem ??? any advice would be of help --- ???

What makes you think it is Avast?
Stop the providers one at a time and try to download something.

Your version of ZA is also outdated.
The ciurent version is 5.5.062.011
