Massive problem from Avast Free in XP SP3
« on: December 06, 2012, 02:37:10 PM »
Hello gentlemen, today I want to tell a massive problem I'm having with my clients

1 - All (for now) have Windows XP SP3
2 - Avast Free Edition antivirus updated
3 - They were surfing the Internet
4 - Suddenly they appeared a virus warning "that so far no one scored or specifically what I said ..."
5 - They no longer have internet when I apply antivirus solution ...
6 - But Network Connections include local area connection connected and operational
7 - Under CMD IPCONFIG says "Internal error. Request is not supported" PING can not resolve the IP
8 - Apply a patch much talked with TCP protocol in XP

Quote
netsh winsock reset
netsh winsock reset catalog
netsh int ip reset c: \ resetlog.txt

9 - Check Ipsec.sys files, Netbios.sys and both were not affected because their hashes match with an installed version of Windows XP Zero

Please, who can think of an idea or comment know the problem, since I have 12 clients with the same problem and I keep calling ..

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=110781.msg871435#msg871435

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=110813.msg871652#msg871652

Sorry guys. Just explaining Bob's post and directing to Claudiuc's post who has the fix batch and he is an Avast! distributor:
