Error Message - Missing Directory
« on: December 09, 2012, 10:36:12 AM »
A routine full scan with Avast! last night left an error message saying c:\program files\avast software\avast\defs\12120701\algo.dll Error: The system cannot find the path specified (3) - all this repeated several times for other .dlls (screenshot attached). The path certainly does not exist. The questions are, why has this message appeared, is it significant and do I need to do anything about it.

Regards,

Bob

it seems avast did some house cleaning in signature folder at the same time you did the scan....so reference to files removed is still there
should be gone after a reboot

c:\program files\avast software\avast\defs\12120701\algo.dll

That fixed it. Thanks for the tip - I was just concerned it might impact on something else.
