Hi all,
Suddenly started having a problem when downloading files... seems to happen randomly, but some sites it happens to more than others. The download hangs at 1 second remaining, then after a while it times out with the message "unable to download".
I've been googling a fair bit, and many people mention a problem with the anti-virus scanning the file and then not passing it off to let Windows copy it from the temp folder to the destination folder.
My question is, is there a known problem with the current Avast doing this sort of thing? I have the free version, on XP SP3. It just started happening recently, with no other changes except for the Avast updates, so I'm wondering if one of the updates is the culprit?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
