Hi vik53 and welcome to the forum
The beta running for version 7 started around the end of the year last year I believe. It may be that Avast might use the same approach for version 8.
The only ones who know for sure are not saying as yet, :) 8)

I believe the OP was wanting to know about "beta Testing" not the final release date; But that's nice to know also. ;) :)

I'm not from any FB related "fan club" thing, but this has been the usual release schedule for the last few major versions of avast!, so that has been expected anyway... I'm more interested in BETA to see what new they have for us and to start working with it (testing & debugging).

As RejZor said -"where more interested in the Beta" as the topic title suggests ::), February 2013 is also the release date for the final.

and where is this information that avast will be out in february? there is no info on the site you said avast fan club on facebook
