How good is Windows Firewall+Avast AV?
« on: December 17, 2012, 07:01:18 PM »
Hey everyone,

How good is the following while having everything running on a home desktop PC that has Windows 7 32-bit x86 Home Premium for the OS? Does the following cause any conflicts? Do I need to uninstall anything, or change to something different?

I'm currently using Windows built in Firewall (free) with Avast AV (free edition). Also, spybot S&D (free), and Super Malware (free not PRO), and Vuze for a BitTorrent client.

Would this be a good combination?

Thank you,

Sparxx

I would dump SpyBot and replace with Malwarebytes, not sure what you mean by "Super Malware" maybe SuperAntiSpyware ??? which is also fine.

I'm using Avast Pro Antivirus and also have Malwarebytes Pro installed, I've ditched windows firewall for Comodo's well known Firewall (free) and they are all working just fine together without any gliches at all!
